Full‑Time Hotel Receptionist

About the role

The Cork International Hotel is looking for a full‑time Receptionist to be the first point of contact for guests. You will welcome visitors, manage reservations and support the front‑desk team in delivering a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and register guests on arrival, using their names and following SOPs.
• Handle check‑in and check‑out documentation in line with Trigon Hotel Group procedures.
• Manage reservations, apply rate management guidelines and maximise in‑house selling opportunities.
• Process cash, pay‑in vouchers and record all financial transactions accurately.
• Secure guests’ valuables, issue receipts and maintain awareness of room availability.
• Maintain uniform, personal hygiene and keep work areas clean, safe and tidy.
• Adhere to health, safety, fire and hotel policy regulations.
• Assist with reservations coordination and fulfil reasonable requests from management and guests.
• Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a guest‑facing role, preferably within a hotel.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Willingness to follow company procedures and uphold the Code of Conduct.
• Availability to work full‑time on‑site at the Cork International Hotel.
