General Foreman – Major Construction Projects in Cork

About the role

An established main contractor is looking for an experienced General Foreman to lead site activities on major construction projects across Cork, including developments in the city centre and Carrigtwohill. You will work closely with the Site Management team to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily site activities and construction works.
• Supervise subcontractors, trades and site operatives.
• Ensure works are completed in line with programme, quality and safety requirements.
• Monitor progress and report to the Site Management team.
• Coordinate materials, resources and labour requirements.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and quality control.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a General Foreman, Site Foreman or Senior Foreman.
• Strong background delivering construction projects with a main or specialist contractor.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site coordination.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with site management and subcontractors.
• Strong focus on health, safety and quality.
