General Manager – Integrated Service Delivery Model (Health Regions)

About the role

The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a senior leader to head the Integrated Service Delivery Model for Health Regions covering Dublin South and Wicklow. Reporting to senior HSE management, the General Manager will be responsible for delivering high-quality, coordinated health services across the Integrated Healthcare Areas (IHA) in this region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for the Integrated Service Delivery Model within the IHA Dublin South and Wicklow.
• Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective delivery of acute, community and primary health services.
• Develop and monitor budgets, performance metrics and service quality standards.
• Engage with local authorities, clinical partners, and community stakeholders to align services with regional health priorities.
• Ensure compliance with national health policies, regulations and HSE governance frameworks.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in service integration and patient pathways.

Required profile

• Extensive senior management experience in public health or large-scale health service delivery.
• Proven track record of leading integrated health programmes and managing complex budgets.
• Strong knowledge of Irish health system structures, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
