General Operative (Production)

About the role

The General Operative supports the production line in meeting daily output, waste, yield and efficiency targets. Working as part of a team, you will ensure that all processes follow food safety and quality standards while maintaining a tidy and safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Meet daily production targets for output, waste, yield, efficiency and start‑up time.
• Accurately record production data such as downtime, waste, process sheets and non‑conformances.
• Complete all quality tests and traceability steps according to protocol.
• Control and maintain production tools, probes and machine parts, reporting any misplaced items.
• Follow food safety (HACCP) and health & safety procedures, keeping the work area hygienic.
• Operate equipment in line with training and approved SOPs.
• Communicate with colleagues to ensure uninterrupted material supply.
• Report maintenance issues and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent understanding of HACCP and health & safety processes.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Minimum 6 months experience in an FMCG environment.
• Team‑oriented, flexible and proactive.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
