Global Transactions Tax & Advisory Consultant – Ireland

About the role

Alvarez & Marsal is expanding its Irish Tax Practice and is looking for professionals at all levels to join the Global Transactions Tax and Advisory team in Dublin. The role focuses on providing sophisticated tax planning and advisory services for high‑stakes, cross‑border transactions, acquisitions, divestitures, spin‑offs and joint ventures.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for tax matters.
• Identify tax risk areas for clients and collaborate with the Managing Director to develop mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with tax specialists across other practice areas to deliver comprehensive advice.
• Provide advice on all aspects of transaction tax advisory work, including global tax planning and effective tax rate optimization.
• Deliver reports and deliverables within client‑set or Managing Director‑set deadlines.

Required profile

• Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to understand and assimilate complex tax concerns.
• Analytical mindset to identify risk and propose practical solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and cross‑functional tax experts.
• Interest in cross‑border transactions and global tax planning.
