Governance, Compliance and Evaluation Officer

About the role

This position sits at the centre of clinical service governance, ensuring that performance oversight, quality, and compliance processes run consistently. Working closely with senior leadership, the officer provides structure, discipline, and clear insight to support decision‑making and drive service improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and monitoring of governance processes across clinical services.
• Maintain visibility of key activities, assign actions, track progress and ensure timely completion.
• Prepare structured reports, dashboards and briefing materials for senior management.
• Collate, analyse and present KPIs, service activity data and outcome measures.
• Coordinate service evaluation, research activity and ensure recommendations are integrated into improvement plans.
• Develop, review and maintain departmental policies, procedures and the policy register.

Required profile

• Strong organisational capability with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret, synthesise and communicate complex information clearly.
• Confidence in progressing actions and ensuring transparent activity tracking.
• Experience working in a busy, complex service environment, preferably within health or clinical settings.
