Graduate Data Engineer – Analytics Team

About the role

We are looking for a Graduate Data Engineer to join the Analytics Team at Colgate-Palmolive in Dublin. Reporting to a Senior Data Engineer, you will help design, build and orchestrate scalable data pipelines that feed reliable data to analysts and data scientists for dashboards and predictive models. This 2‑year fixed‑term position offers the chance to work on commercial analytics use cases across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines in cloud environments (GCP, AWS).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather, cleanse and structure data for commercial analytics.
• Support data analysts and data scientists by providing well‑documented, high‑quality data sets.
• Implement workflow management and data modeling best practices.
• Assist in building data products that drive insights for growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a curiosity for turning commercial data into actionable insights.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, Java or C++.
• Solid SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
• Basic knowledge of data‑visualisation tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, DOMO, Sigma).
• Intermediate Excel / Google Sheets skills.
