Graduate Mechanical Engineer – Data Centre Projects

About the role

Winthrow is seeking enthusiastic graduate mechanical engineers to join its data‑centre construction teams. You will gain hands‑on experience designing, installing and commissioning mechanical systems on large‑scale projects across Ireland, Sweden and Finland.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordination of mechanical works on site.
• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Support site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with standards.
• Liaise with design teams, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve technical queries.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and mechanical codes.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including test reports and quality records.
• Assist in commissioning activities and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
• Contribute to risk assessments and method statements for mechanical works.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and building services such as HVAC and piping.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to health & safety and quality standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit or other mechanical design software.
