Project Lead – Data Centre Construction

About the role

Winthrop Technologies is seeking a Project Lead to drive the delivery of data centre projects across Europe. Reporting to the Project Director, you will own the end‑to‑end management of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall project cost, schedule, and budget from inception to completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure seamless execution.
• Track critical milestones, prevent delays, and provide timely updates.
• Review construction proposals, pricing, and scopes of work.
• Lead client and coordination meetings, and report on cost influences.
• Oversee procurement methods, long‑lead equipment delivery, and cost estimate validation.
• Approve invoices, payment applications, and manage the handover process.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar project leadership role within construction or data centre delivery.
• Strong organisational, communication, and time‑management abilities.
• Commercially astute with proven financial management and cost‑control expertise.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Word.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
