Group IT Specialist

About the role

The Hanly Group is expanding its diverse businesses in construction, manufacturing, hospitality and administration. We are looking for a highly skilled Group IT Specialist to manage, maintain and continuously improve our IT infrastructure across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support servers, broadband connections, Wi‑Fi networks, switches, firewalls and end‑user devices across all Group locations.
• Configure, troubleshoot and optimise both on‑premises and cloud‑based environments to ensure business continuity.
• Manage IP addressing, broadband services and integrate supplier systems with internal networks.
• Install, terminate and test CAT5/6 cabling, fibre and switching infrastructure.
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server environments and Microsoft 365 services, including user accounts and security updates.
• Implement cybersecurity strategies, firewall rules and automated email archiving policies.
• Provide first‑ and second‑line technical support, set up new PCs, laptops and migrate user data.
• Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex, multi‑site IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of both on‑premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to work closely with senior management and travel between sites as needed.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to system improvement.
