Head of Government Affairs – UK & EU

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to shape Hims & Hers’ government affairs and public policy strategy across the United Kingdom and key European markets. Reporting to senior international leadership, you will act as the primary liaison with health ministries, EU institutions and industry coalitions, ensuring the company’s growth aligns with evolving regulatory landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive government affairs strategy for the UK, Germany, France, Ireland, Spain and other priority EU markets.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with policymakers, regulators, parliamentarians and patient organisations.
• Provide political and regulatory insight to operational and clinical teams to inform product and market decisions.
• Lead advocacy on digital health, tele‑medicine, online prescribing, pharmacy policy, weight‑loss care access, AI in healthcare and patient‑centred reforms.
• Monitor legislative developments, assess policy risks and advise on mitigation strategies.
• Represent the company in EU institutions (Commission, Parliament, Council) and industry coalitions.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in government affairs, public policy or regulatory affairs, preferably within healthcare or digital health.
• Deep understanding of UK and EU health‑care regulatory frameworks and policy‑making processes.
• Track record of influencing policymakers and building multi‑stakeholder coalitions.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to translate policy trends into business opportunities.
