Head of Legal – International Construction Group

About the role

This is a substantive Head of Legal appointment for a Dublin‑headquartered international construction group operating across four jurisdictions. You will own the entire legal function, shaping contract strategy, risk management, dispute resolution and corporate governance while working closely with the board, executive team and project delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead the legal function across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.
• Design and implement contract strategies and risk‑management frameworks.
• Oversee dispute resolution and litigation matters.
• Provide legal advice on corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
• Negotiate high‑value contracts and complex commercial agreements.
• Collaborate with senior executives and board members on strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 8 years post‑qualification experience.
• Demonstrable expertise in construction law, preferably from a reputable law firm or in‑house team.
• Strong knowledge of Irish contract law, construction law and dispute‑resolution mechanisms.
• Proven track record of managing high‑value contracts and complex negotiations.
• Senior‑level commercial acumen and ability to engage credibly with boards and executives.
