Healthcare Assistant (Ad Hoc Agency Shifts) - Dublin

About the role

Direct Medics is recruiting compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistants for ad hoc agency shifts at Peamount Healthcare in Dublin. The role covers day and night shifts, full-time and part-time hours, and involves providing high-quality patient care, monitoring conditions and collaborating with the healthcare team, including personal care. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Key responsibilities

• Personal care: assist with bathing, showering, washing, shaving, oral hygiene and continence needs
• General observations and updating patient records
• Support and encourage patients
• Manual handling: use of hoists and slide sheets

Required profile

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (or equivalent, minimum 2 modules including Care Skills and Care of the Older Person)
• Relevant experience in a healthcare setting
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills

Required skills

• Manual Handling and Patient Moving Training (provided free of charge)
• Safety Intervention Training (provided free of charge)
