Human Resources Manager – Manufacturing Site, Sligo

About the role
The Human Resources Manager will act as a strategic partner for the manufacturing site in Sligo, driving HR initiatives that support business objectives and foster a high‑engagement culture. This role reports to senior site leadership and is responsible for shaping people practices that attract, develop, and retain talent.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies, programs and services that align with site business needs.
- Partner with the Site Leadership Team to promote employee engagement, performance, diversity and inclusion.
- Coach managers on talent pipeline development, retention and organizational effectiveness.
- Analyse HR data and survey results to provide insights on talent, culture and engagement.
- Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence to deliver change‑management and organisational effectiveness initiatives.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, disciplinary actions and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with Irish employment law and work with legal counsel on high‑risk matters.
- Oversee HR operations including documentation, status changes, pay and benefits, performance reviews and investigations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Studies or a related discipline (CIPD membership preferred).
- Extensive experience as an HR Business Partner or Generalist, with expertise in at least one HR specialism.
- Proven track record in employee relations, leadership development and applying HR best practices in fast‑paced environments.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical abilities, with the capacity to influence at all organisational levels.
- Solid understanding of Irish employment law and HR compliance requirements.
- Passion for people, strong business acumen and a proactive attitude.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
- Experience with HR data analysis and survey interpretation.
- Ability to design and deliver HR programs that drive engagement and performance.
