Inspection Operative – Day Shift, €16.98/hr

About the role

West Cork Distillers is seeking an Inspection Operative to join its Skibbereen facility on a day‑shift basis. You will be responsible for ensuring product quality and safety by visually inspecting items moving along the production line.

Key responsibilities

• Visually inspect products on the conveyor for defects, contamination or damage and remove non‑conforming items.
• Unload product cases from containers, handle and stack them correctly to avoid damage.
• Load product cases onto the conveyor and remove them at the end of the line.
• Follow company quality guidelines and promptly report recurring issues or non‑conformities.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free inspection area that is audit‑ready.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and manual‑handling techniques.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to keep the line running smoothly and meet production targets.

Required profile

• Ability to perform manual handling and stand for extended periods in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong observational skills to detect product defects quickly and accurately.
• Previous experience in a production, warehouse or food‑manufacturing setting.
