Inspection Operative (Days) – €16.98/hr, Mon‑Thu

About the role

West Cork Distillers is seeking an Inspection Operative to join its Skibbereen facility. Working Monday to Thursday, you will ensure that products moving through the production line meet the company’s high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Visually inspect items on the conveyor for defects, contamination or damage and remove non‑conforming products.
• Unload product cases from containers, handle and stack them safely to avoid damage.
• Load product cases onto the conveyor and remove them at the end of the line.
• Follow quality guidelines and promptly report recurring issues to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free inspection area that is audit‑ready.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and manual‑handling techniques.
• Collaborate with team members to keep the line running smoothly and meet production targets.

Required profile

• Ability to perform manual handling and stand for extended periods in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong observational skills to detect product defects quickly and accurately.
• Previous experience in production, warehouse or food‑manufacturing settings.
