Inventory Control Analyst

About the role

The Inventory Control Analyst will provide visibility across raw material and packaging inventory within a multi‑site supply chain network. You will help improve inventory performance, reduce waste, and support effective material utilisation across suppliers, warehousing partners, and manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inventory analysis, including usage trends, slow‑moving stock, excess inventory, shortages, and obsolete materials.
• Identify root causes of inventory issues and work with cross‑functional teams to implement corrective actions.
• Produce and present inventory reports, KPIs, insights, and recommendations for operational decision‑making.
• Partner with Finance on inventory provisions, write‑offs, and financial risk assessments.
• Support optimisation initiatives such as material reallocation, stock reduction, and consumption prioritisation.
• Lead impact assessments for product transitions and discontinuations, ensuring effective run‑down strategies.
• Manage inventory destruction governance, including approvals, tracking, reporting, and root‑cause analysis.
• Identify opportunities to rebalance inventory across sites to improve utilisation and minimise waste.
• Challenge and improve planning assumptions related to order quantities, safety stock, and shelf‑life management.
• Collaborate with Planning, Procurement, Quality, and Operations teams to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 1‑2 years of experience in inventory control, material planning, or a related supply‑chain function.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
