IT & Continuous Improvement Assistant

About the role

This position supports the day‑to‑day IT needs of a manufacturing factory while contributing to continuous improvement, digitalisation, training and process standardisation projects. You will work closely with the Continuous Improvement Lead and factory teams to ensure smooth IT operations and drive efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line IT support for hardware, software, printers, scanners, mobile devices and basic network issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user problems with Microsoft 365, shared drives, factory systems and standard business applications.
• Escalate complex incidents to Group IT or external providers as needed.
• Assist with routine IT checks, updates, maintenance and simple automation, reporting and data‑exchange improvements.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects by mapping processes, collecting data, solving problems and tracking actions.
• Develop simple digital tools, forms, trackers, reports and dashboards.
• Help roll out improvement initiatives, providing user training and support.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, track procurement, deployment and retirement, and conduct periodic audits.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in an IT support environment, preferably in manufacturing or a regulated setting.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving ability to minimise operational disruption.
