IT Graduate Programme – Thoroughbred Talents

About the role

The Thoroughbred Talents Graduate Programme (IT Stream) is a two‑year, full‑time development pathway that starts in October 2026. As a graduate you will rotate across key IT functions supporting the Irish horse racing industry, gaining hands‑on experience in service desk support, application development, Microsoft 365 administration, project delivery and cyber security.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support for hardware, software and network issues across HRI and its racecourses.
• Log, troubleshoot and resolve service‑desk tickets within agreed service levels.
• Support user onboarding/off‑boarding, equipment setup and maintenance of laptops, desktops and mobile devices.
• Assist in designing, developing, testing and deploying internal applications.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint and Power Platform tools.
• Develop automation and reporting solutions using Power BI and Power Automate.
• Contribute to IT project delivery, testing, documentation and deployment activities within the PMO.
• Identify and propose process improvements and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a strong interest in information technology.
• Willingness to rotate across multiple IT disciplines over two years.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Hardware, software and network troubleshooting.
• Microsoft 365 administration (SharePoint, Power Platform).
• Power BI and Power Automate for reporting and automation.
• Experience with service‑desk ticketing systems.
• Basic application development and testing concepts.
