IT Server & Network Hardware Support Technician

About the role

We are looking for a motivated, customer‑focused IT Server & Network Hardware Support Technician to join our onsite team in Kildare. You will work in a high‑profile enterprise data‑centre environment, providing hands‑on support for servers, network equipment and cabling infrastructure across 12‑hour shifts on a 4‑days‑on / 4‑days‑off rota.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Layer 1 network and server hardware support, including installation, removal and connection of equipment.
• Perform copper, fibre and AOC cabling, cable testing and fault identification.
• Support rack, stack, build, IMAC and de‑commission activities for servers and storage.
• Execute physical break/fix, hardware diagnostics and component replacements.
• Coordinate vendor visits for maintenance, warranty and RMA processes.
• Manage incidents and service requests via ServiceNow, email and Microsoft Teams.
• Conduct asset tracking, inventory management and physical audits.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in IT infrastructure support, preferably in a data‑centre.
• Hands‑on experience with server and network hardware.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills.
