About the role

We are looking for a customer‑focused, tech‑savvy IT Service & Support Technician to join Lidl’s IT Service Team on a 15‑month fixed‑term contract. You will diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of hardware, software and network issues, providing clear guidance to internal customers across stores, warehouses and offices.

Key responsibilities

  • Guide customers through technical challenges via phone, email or chat.
  • Prioritise, manage and respond to service‑desk tickets promptly.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues on Windows, Linux and macOS desktops and laptops.
  • Provide mobile support for iPhone and iPad devices.
  • Support Google Workspace and perform remote‑desktop assistance.
  • Assist with network and infrastructure problems.
  • Consult external service providers to meet business requirements.
  • Create and maintain procedural documentation and incident records.
  • Liaise with other IT teams to identify root causes of recurring issues.
  • Follow established service‑desk processes and escalation procedures.

Required profile

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a client‑facing IT support role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Hands‑on experience with Windows, Linux and macOS environments.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and networking basics.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills in English.
  • Proactive attitude, flexibility and a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies; additional certifications (e.g., Linux, Cisco) are a plus.
