IT Support Engineer

About the role

Pinewood Healthcare is seeking a proactive IT Support Engineer to join its Application Support team. You will work closely with global IT groups, manage a large user base, and ensure the reliability of both GMP and non‑GMP systems across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Administer user accounts for existing and upcoming IT/GMP systems.
• Coordinate workshops and training sessions for new system implementations.
• Support the ticket management system and maintain the corporate intranet.
• Create technical documentation, user manuals, and IT SOPs; deliver end‑user training.
• Serve as the primary contact for complex hardware, software, networking, and cloud issues (200+ clients).
• Monitor, manage, and maintain core infrastructure – servers, storage, networks, and Azure cloud platforms (50+ servers).
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, security patches, and backup/restore procedures.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and post‑incident reviews for critical outages.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues and deliver projects.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards (Fortinet, iSOC) and maintain documentation of best practices.

Required profile

• Dynamic IT professional with experience supporting large user bases.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, and cloud environments.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with global IT teams.
• Willingness to provide after‑hours support for maintenance and emergencies.
