Junior Business Analyst & IT Support Analyst – SmartSimple Grants

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst and IT Support Analyst to join a Dublin‑based client on a 1‑year day‑rate contract. The role focuses on supporting and enhancing the SmartSimple grant management platform and related legacy systems, combining business analysis, application support, data migration and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 application support to internal and external users, handling tickets and troubleshooting issues.
• Configure, test and deploy grant schemes within the SmartSimple platform.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support system roll‑outs.
• Execute data migration activities, including validation, reconciliation and quality assurance.
• Gather and document business requirements, propose process improvements and act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards and management insights.
• Support user onboarding, training and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in business analysis, application support or a similar IT role.
• Experience with SmartSimple or comparable grant/case management platforms.
• Proven ability to deliver L1/L2 support and assist with UAT.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on data migration and validation.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Project Management, Finance or related field.
