Junior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to help design, automate, and maintain the cloud infrastructure that powers our globally distributed Enterprise SaaS platform. You will work closely with product engineering teams to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable services while fostering a culture of continuous delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure for a global SaaS platform.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline development, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy, or similar tools.
• Improve and maintain the DevOps toolchain, including build environments and deployment processes.
• Support and evolve Azure‑focused cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, etc.).
• Implement best practices for monitoring, performance, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues across environments.
• Contribute to technical decisions and promote automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Administration.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while maintaining high standards.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, agile, high‑volume environment with strong prioritisation.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure and Azure ecosystem.
• CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy or similar).
• PowerShell and/or Bash scripting.
• Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or similar).
• Containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSL, IIS.
• Observability tools (e.g., ElasticSearch) and Cloudflare/CDN platforms.
• .NET application environment knowledge.
