Junior IP/Datacom Technical Support Engineer

About the role

Huawei Europe is seeking a Junior IP/Datacom Technical Support Engineer to join its Dublin team. You will support IP and Datacom network solutions for customers and partners, ensuring smooth project delivery and high‑quality technical assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for IP/Datacom solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls and SDN.
• Support end‑to‑end delivery of network projects – design validation, troubleshooting, migration and on‑site or remote assistance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues during implementation and operation to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Create and maintain documentation, best‑practice guides and knowledge‑sharing materials for internal teams and partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent English with strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Proactive, customer‑oriented mindset with solid problem‑solving and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel within Western Europe when required.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IP/Datacom technologies: routing, switching, MPLS, VPN, QoS and automation.
• Hands‑on experience with Huawei or equivalent vendor equipment.
• Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls and Software‑Defined Networking (SDN).
