Junior JavaScript Developer

About the role

Blue Oak Consulting is looking for a Junior JavaScript Developer to join its remote team. You will help transform complex financial spreadsheets into interactive web tools that validate and visualise large datasets for private‑equity clients.

Key responsibilities

• Write and maintain JavaScript scripts that automate validation of extensive financial data.
• Build lightweight, browser‑based visualisation tools for consultants and non‑technical clients.
• Translate logic from Excel valuation models into testable JavaScript code.
• Collaborate with principals to understand economic assumptions and testing requirements.
• Perform QA on internal tools to ensure accurate pricing calculations.
• Clean and format raw data inputs for use in web applications.

Required profile

• Entry‑level experience or academic background in software development.
• Strong analytical mindset with interest in finance or data validation.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with senior consultants.
• Available to work standard business hours overlapping GMT/IST.
