Junior Legal Counsel – Renewable Energy (Ireland)

About the role

Greenvolt Next is seeking a junior solicitor to provide practical legal support across its renewable energy and infrastructure business in Ireland. You will work closely with senior management, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and legal documents.
• Provide commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Support renewable energy and infrastructure projects, primarily in Ireland.
• Assist with employment law matters and related business initiatives.
• Identify, assess and manage legal risks across the organisation.
• Liaise with external legal advisers in Ireland and the UK.
• Help manage disputes, regulatory matters and governance activities.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the business.
• Contribute to broader risk‑management and compliance programmes.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in Ireland with a law degree (LLB, JD or equivalent).
• 2–5 years post‑qualification experience in a commercial legal environment.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Proven ability to give practical, business‑oriented legal advice.
• Knowledge of renewable energy, construction, infrastructure or project development sectors is highly desirable.
• Experience with employment law matters and managing external advisers.
• Demonstrated skill in identifying and mitigating legal and commercial risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
