Key Account Manager – FMCG (Retail & Foodservice)

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑driven Key Account Manager to grow revenue for a leading FMCG supplier. You will own a portfolio of strategic retail and foodservice accounts, ensuring client satisfaction while identifying new business opportunities across the UK and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop long‑term relationships with key retail and foodservice customers.
• Create and execute account plans to maximise retention, revenue and margin.
• Identify and pursue upsell and cross‑sell opportunities within existing accounts.
• Support export growth initiatives across the UK and Europe.
• Collaborate with marketing and product development to tailor solutions for customers.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to shape strategy.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms within company guidelines.
• Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports and pipeline updates.
• Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows and client meetings.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of B2B sales or account management experience in the FMCG sector.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong knowledge of retail, foodservice and wholesale distribution channels.
• Full clean driving licence with willingness to travel regularly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Advanced use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
