Lead Android Developer – Remote (Ireland)

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Android Developer to join a long‑term, multi‑year project for a leading enterprise technology company. The role is fully remote (based in Ireland) and focuses on extending products, internationalising them, and delivering new consumer‑facing features.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new Android features and product extensions.
• Drive internationalisation and localisation efforts.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Dev, QA, DevOps, Product, Designers) in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Maintain high‑quality delivery standards and promote best practices in Android architecture and QA.
• Assist in migrating legacy codebases to modern architectures.

Required profile

• 6+ years of native Android development experience.
• Proven experience in a tech‑lead or senior engineering role.
• Deep understanding of current Android architecture patterns and security practices.
• Ability to provide SME guidance on tooling, deployment, and testing.
• Experience building enterprise‑grade Android applications from scratch.
