Learning and Development Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to join a reputable organisation in Cork on a 12‑month contract. The role will support organisational learning, talent development and employee capability initiatives, working closely with business leaders to align training with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate learning and development programmes that meet business and workforce priorities.
• Manage learning management systems and promote engagement with digital learning resources.
• Conduct training needs analyses and coordinate training, coaching and mentoring activities.
• Support organisational change, leadership development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor, report on learning outcomes and assess programme effectiveness.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure training compliance and support workforce development goals.
• Contribute to talent management processes including performance development, succession planning and career progression.
• Identify opportunities to enhance employee capability, engagement and organisational performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a specialist learning and development role.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Proven experience coordinating training programmes and managing learning systems.
• Ability to analyse development needs and implement practical learning solutions.
• Excellent organisational, project management and reporting skills.
• Solid understanding of contemporary human‑resource development processes and initiatives.
