Learning & Development Specialist – Fraud focus/Fintech

About the role

You will design, develop and deliver specialised training programmes that empower Risk Operations teams to detect fraud, assess risk and ensure compliance. Working closely with internal and client stakeholders, you will translate complex regulatory content into engaging, actionable learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with client and TELUS Digital teams to design and review training modules on fraud review, risk assessment and underwriting protocols.
• Create comprehensive course materials – manuals, case studies, assessments and exercises – reflecting current fraud patterns and best practices.
• Deliver dynamic, interactive training sessions for new hires and existing staff, adapting communication style to diverse learner types.
• Provide onboarding support, on‑floor assistance and troubleshoot technical issues during training.
• Manage training logistics including scheduling, attendance tracking and equipment setup.
• Collaborate across US time zones to align training priorities with business needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in learning‑and‑development or training design, preferably within fintech, risk or compliance environments.
• Strong understanding of AML, fraud review, KYC onboarding and risk management concepts.
• Ability to translate regulatory material into clear, engaging learning content.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
