Legal Counsel – Employment Law

About the role

Our client, a global leader in the financial services sector, is seeking a Legal Counsel specialising in Employment Law to join its Dublin legal team. Working closely with another experienced lawyer, you will support employment law matters across Ireland, the UK and Europe, reporting to the General Counsel in Ireland. The position offers a high‑impact environment where you will advise senior leadership on complex cross‑border employment mandates throughout EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to senior leadership on employment matters across EMEA.
• Manage the full lifecycle of employment relationships, including contracts, policies, disputes and cross‑border mandates.
• Draft, review and negotiate employment agreements, policies and related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local labour legislation in Ireland, the UK and other European jurisdictions.
• Monitor legislative developments and advise internal stakeholders on necessary policy updates.
• Collaborate with HR and external counsel on complex employment issues and dispute resolution.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a current practising certificate in Ireland or the UK.
• Minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience in employment law.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
