Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a driven and pragmatic Legal Counsel to support our client’s expansion across Europe. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel in Dublin, you will work closely with teams in London, Spain and Italy on commercial contracts, regulatory research and market launches.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and review commercial contracts throughout Europe.
• Conduct regulatory research and advise on European financial regulations, including AML.
• Localise customer terms and conditions for European markets, with a focus on France.
• Support due‑diligence of business partners and outsourcing arrangements.
• Assist with legal projects related to new products, regulatory changes and market growth.

Required profile

• European‑qualified lawyer with 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Background in commercial contracts or financial services.
• Interest in payments, e‑money or regulated services; merchant acquiring experience is a plus.
• Analytical mindset able to simplify complex legal issues for non‑lawyers.
• Collaborative, solutions‑focused approach with strong ethical standards.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
