Loan Trade Closing Officer

About the role

The Loan Trade Closing Officer joins Alter Domus' Loan Trade Closing Team, providing external client service for new issue, pari‑passu and distressed bank loan trades across large U.S. and European syndications, leveraged middle‑market, and special‑opportunity situations.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate product and functional knowledge of the bank loan market to communicate with business and trading counterparties.
• Support settlement processes for loan syndications, secondary loan trades, CLOs, restructurings, private placements and trade claims, handling funding and documentation matters.
• Maintain working knowledge of portfolios and deal‑related documentation to ensure controls and guideline adherence.
• Liaise with Administrative Agents on KYC documentation, tax and fund formation documents.
• Maintain and distribute loan documentation, including private and public amendments, restructurings and voting requirements.
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders such as Portfolio Management, Attorneys, Compliance, Finance, Technology, Custodians, Fund Administrators, Agent Banks and Brokers.
• Investigate and resolve closing and transactional issues, communicating promptly.
• Participate in daily/weekly report reviews and metrics to highlight trade status and risks.
• Contribute to a dynamic team environment and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in CLO administration and/or bank loan syndication is a plus.
• Ability to independently research and resolve complex problems.
• Strong analytical capabilities and effective communication skills.
• Proven ability to work closely with internal groups and external clients.
