Locum Consultant - Orthopaedic Surgeon

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert care in outpatient clinics, inpatient wards and/or operating theatres
• Mentor and supervise junior doctors, supporting their clinical development
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning
• Ensure full compliance with HSE clinical governance and documentation standards
• Support safe discharge planning, follow-up care and patient safety initiatives

Required profile

• Irish Medical Council specialist registration
• Eligible to work in Ireland (Irish/UK/EU passport or Stamp 4, Stamp 1G visa)
• Significant experience as an Orthopaedic Surgeon
• Strong leadership, communication and teaching skills
• Ability to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence
