Maintenance Cleaner – Warehouse & Site Upkeep

About the role

The Maintenance Cleaner ensures the warehouse and surrounding site remain clean, safe, and tidy. Working on a morning 8‑hour shift, you will support daily operations by maintaining floors, walkways, loading areas and outdoor spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Clean warehouse floors, walkways, loading zones and communal areas.
• Operate floor‑cleaning machines and other cleaning equipment safely.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste correctly.
• Perform basic outdoor maintenance such as grass cutting and upkeep of external areas.
• Support general housekeeping standards across the site.
• Follow health and safety procedures, use chemicals safely, and report hazards.
• Assist with ad‑hoc cleaning and maintenance tasks as required.
• Store and maintain cleaning equipment in good condition.

Required profile

• Previous cleaning or maintenance experience in a warehouse, industrial or commercial setting.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

Required skills

• Operation of floor‑cleaning machinery.
• Use of lawn‑mowers or grounds‑maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of COSHH and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
