About the role
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor / Lead Technician to lead our maintenance team in Cork. The role combines hands‑on technical work with leadership, ensuring plant equipment and utilities run safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and allocate daily tasks for the maintenance team, ensuring timely, high‑quality completion.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and utility systems.
- Diagnose, repair or replace faulty components to minimise downtime.
- Plan and coordinate shutdown work with production to limit operational disruption.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality and QESH teams to align maintenance with site goals.
- Manage external contractors, enforcing safety procedures and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and uphold strict site safety protocols.
- Participate in safety and technical meetings to drive continuous improvement.
- Support 5S and Lean manufacturing initiatives across the site.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in the site system.
Required profile
- Mechanical and electrical trade qualification or equivalent experience.
- Safe Pass certification (essential).
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience, with supervisory or team‑lead responsibilities.
- Experience in food, pharma or commercial laundry environments is an advantage.
- Additional certifications such as Manual Handling, Forklift Licence, Lockout/Tagout, First Aid or Fire Warden are desirable.
