Manager, Controller

About the role

The Controller Manager will own finance responsibilities for Irish platform entities within CDB Aviation, reporting to the VP & Team Lead, Controllers. The role blends technical accounting, reporting, transaction support and stakeholder management, offering exposure to aircraft leasing transactions and senior‑level reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary finance contact for assigned Irish entities, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
• Manage monthly and quarterly reporting to meet company and parent‑company deadlines.
• Review and analyse financial information, internal reporting packs and business performance data.
• Support commercial transactions and represent the Controllers function on deal teams involving Irish‑based aircraft.
• Prepare audit packs and facilitate the external audit process.
• Maintain relationships with auditors, external providers and internal Finance, Tax, Legal, Treasury and Commercial teams.
• Respond to finance queries and information requests across the business.
• Contribute to improving finance processes, controls and reporting quality.
• Assist with technical accounting analysis on new policies, structures or transactions.
• Support ad‑hoc finance projects as directed by the Team Lead and CFO.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA).
• Post‑qualification experience in aircraft leasing, aviation finance, structured finance, SPV accounting or Big 4 audit.
• Strong background in financial reporting, audit and technical accounting.
• Proven ability to work with multiple entities, tight deadlines and diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Clear communication skills and confidence dealing with internal and external parties.
• Proactive, practical mindset with ownership and problem‑solving orientation.
