Manufacturing Engineer – Electronics & Motion Controllers

About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our high‑reliability electronics and motion‑controller production facility in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork. You will drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, support new‑product introductions, and ensure our processes meet the highest quality, cost and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead improvements in the manufacture of electronic circuit cards and mechanical assembly of motion controllers.
• Manage Continuous Improvement projects using Lean tools to boost quality, capability and reduce costs.
• Specify, justify and install new equipment within schedule and budget.
• Collaborate with in‑house and corporate design teams, providing Design‑for‑Manufacturing input.
• Oversee New Product Introduction, including costings, assembly process development and SOP creation.
• Support production with SMT, PTH, selective solder, cleaning, coating and automated mechanical assembly equipment.
• Train staff on processes and equipment and design safe product‑handling solutions.

Required profile

• Level 8 degree qualification.
• Proven experience in electronics manufacturing, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Analytical, practical problem‑solving approach.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Flexibility to adapt work patterns during demand spikes.

Required skills

• SMT (Surface‑Mount Technology) operations.
• PTH (Plated‑Through‑Hole) assembly.
• Selective soldering.
• Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Experience with cleaning, coating and automated mechanical assembly equipment.
