Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical organisation in Waterford, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to ensure reliable supply of syringe and vial products worldwide. You will support multiple platforms, from manual processes to high‑speed automated lines, across inspection, assembly, labelling and cartoning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support across manufacturing operations.
• Deliver continuous improvement projects on existing equipment and processes.
• Collaborate with technical, quality and supply‑chain teams.
• Apply existing manufacturing technologies and help implement new ones to boost output and yield.
• Maintain safety and quality compliance, offering technical support for process and equipment issues.
• Support qualification of new products and processes, analysing equipment performance data.
• Assist new product introductions and capacity expansions, including vendor selection, design changes and change control.
• Lead technical root‑cause investigations and support safety and quality programmes.

Required profile

• Degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Experience working in a highly regulated GMP environment.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Proven documentation and protocol generation skills.
