Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the full product development cycle from concept through production. The role combines hands‑on sheet‑metal design, project coordination and close interaction with customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete project lifecycle – specification, costing, design, review, release and production support.
• Create sheet‑metal parts, assemblies and detailed drawings using CREO Parametric with model‑based definition.
• Maintain up‑to‑date CREO knowledge through eLearning and apply advanced viewer assemblies.
• Control the design release process, ensuring accurate Bills of Materials and full product definition before production.
• Specify parts and materials, liaise with suppliers and provide relevant information to Purchasing.
• Oversee prototype builds, generate assembly instructions and deliver complete design files to production.
• Provide technical support to sales, prepare cost estimates and contribute to technical documentation.
• Participate in design reviews, customer meetings and lean‑engineering initiatives.

• Proven ability to lead design projects and mentor junior engineers.

• Experience working in multifunctional teams and meeting on‑time release targets.
