Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D team within a global engineering company that creates high‑performance power conversion solutions. You will design mechanical structures and thermal management systems for advanced electronic power products, collaborating closely with electronics, manufacturing, quality and production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical structures and thermal management solutions for electronic power supplies.
• Create detailed part, assembly and manufacturing drawings, product labels and technical documentation.
• Work with suppliers to optimise cost, manufacturability and quality.
• Balance mechanical, thermal, EMC, safety, manufacturing and commercial requirements.
• Develop product datasheets, installation guides and technical literature.
• Produce high‑quality rendered visuals for product launches and marketing.
• Collaborate with Electronics Design Engineers and cross‑functional R&D teams throughout development.
• Participate in technical design reviews and provide engineering recommendations.
• Support transition from prototype to volume manufacturing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and design standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of engineering materials and material selection.
• 3–10 years of relevant mechanical design experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• 3D CAD software: Solid Edge (preferred), SolidWorks, Creo, Onshape or Autodesk Inventor.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes: sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, injection moulding, additive manufacturing/3D printing.
• Mechanical design and thermal management expertise.
• Creation of detailed drawings and product documentation.
