Mechanical Engineer – Full‑Time, County Mayo

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established contractor delivering mechanical and building services projects across County Mayo and the wider West of Ireland. The company seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join the team on a full‑time, long‑term basis, offering a stable environment with a strong pipeline of local work.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in delivering mechanical projects from design through to completion.
• Support project planning, coordination and execution.
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Monitor progress to ensure works meet programme schedules.
• Support procurement of materials and equipment.
• Maintain quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with health & safety management on site.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–6+ years of experience in construction, building services or mechanical engineering.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and project delivery.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full driving licence.
