Medical Director (MICGP) – Women’s Health

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Specialist GP with a strong interest in women’s health to provide clinical leadership and continue delivering specialist care within a modern, state‑of‑the‑art facility in Dublin city centre.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to a highly skilled team of doctors and nurses.
• Contribute strategically to service development, quality improvement initiatives and policy implementation.
• Balance hands‑on clinical practice with leadership and management responsibilities.
• Participate in advocacy, education and media engagement opportunities.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across the healthcare sector and government bodies.
• Play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of women’s healthcare services throughout Ireland.

Required profile

• Minimum four years post‑specialist GP experience, including relevant experience in Ireland.
• Full Specialist Registration with the Irish Medical Council (General Practice).
• Family Planning Certificate and experience in LARC fitting.
• Genuine commitment and passion for women’s healthcare.
• Additional qualifications in women’s health and/or healthcare management advantageous.
• Availability to commence the role in December 2026.

Required skills

• LARC fitting (Long‑Acting Reversible Contraception).
