Medical Secretary (Grade IV) – CVRRE Directorate

About the role

The Medical Secretary Grade IV provides comprehensive administrative support to the Cardiology, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Renal, Respiratory and Endocrinology departments within the CVRRE Directorate. The role ensures smooth patient‑care coordination and assists the departmental administration team in meeting operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality secretarial and clerical services across multiple medical specialties.
• Maintain accurate patient records, appointment schedules, and correspondence.
• Support departmental teams by preparing reports, managing documentation, and handling enquiries.
• Provide cover for colleagues during absences and adapt to changing service demands.
• Occasionally work at different hospital locations as required to meet service needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in medical or healthcare administration.
• Strong understanding of hospital procedures and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to work flexibly across various departments and locations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
