MES Engineer – Life Sciences (Sligo, Ireland)

About the role
We are looking for an MES Engineer to drive digital transformation of manufacturing at a leading life‑sciences production site in Sligo, Ireland. You will work closely with production, IT and quality teams to ensure the Manufacturing Execution System supports new product launches and ongoing operations.
Key responsibilities
- Design, create and optimise MES recipes for commercial and new product launches.
- Implement and manage system changes while maintaining compliance with global quality, safety and IT standards.
- Provide hands‑on support for SAP‑MES integration and act as the primary liaison with production and business stakeholders.
- Lead system qualification, upgrades and audit readiness in an FDA/HPRA regulated environment.
- Troubleshoot MES issues, share knowledge and support regulatory or customer audits.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a scientific, engineering or IT discipline.
- Minimum three years of experience in MES roles within a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical or medical‑device environment.
- Strong understanding of cGMP, manufacturing processes and compliance best practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication and teamwork abilities.
Required skills
- Syncade MES (or strong experience with Werum PAS‑X and willingness to transition).
- Werum PAS‑X.
- SAP‑MES integration.
