Mid-Level Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a mid‑level Manufacturing Engineer to join Abbott’s Vascular Division in Clonmel, Ireland. The role supports the manufacturing organisation by optimising processes, ensuring production targets are met and integrating new products into the existing line.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and complete technical activities that lead to new or improved products and processes for current and next‑generation programmes.
• Monitor equipment, machines and tools, identifying and resolving issues that cause non‑conforming products, low yields or quality problems.
• Collaborate with Quality and R&D teams to integrate new products or processes into the manufacturing area.
• Prepare reports, publish findings and deliver presentations to communicate results.
• Analyse and solve engineering problems ranging from basic issues to complex challenges requiring innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Experience in technical development and process optimisation within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to solve complex engineering problems and work cross‑functionally with quality and R&D teams.
• Strong communication skills for reporting and presenting technical findings.
