Minor Injuries Registrar

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Minor Injuries Registrar to join the Urgent Care Centre of a public hospital in Cork. The role involves delivering rapid assessment and treatment to patients with minor injuries and acute presentations, working within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care to urgent care patients.
• Collaborate with nurses, physiotherapists and other specialists to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in clinical audits, teaching sessions and professional development activities.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to best practice guidelines at all times.

Required profile

• General IMC registration.
• Full professional examinations (e.g., MRCEM) or progression towards them.
• Post‑internship experience in Emergency Department, Surgery or Acute Medicine.
• Experience in Irish, EU, UK or South African hospitals is desirable.
• Proof of English proficiency: IELTS overall band 7 (minimum 6.5 each component) or OET grade B.
• Availability to start in July/August 2026.
