Monogastric Research Scientist (Swine & Poultry)

About the role

We are seeking a Monogastric Research Scientist to join our innovation team in Tralee, Co. Kerry. The role focuses on swine and poultry nutrition, digestion, nutrient absorption, and immune modulation, leading both laboratory and in‑vivo studies. You will have the opportunity to publish findings and present at scientific conferences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop laboratory models for digestion, nutrient absorption, and immune modulation.
• Plan and conduct in‑vivo trials in swine and poultry production systems.
• Analyse experimental data using appropriate statistical methods.
• Prepare technical reports, scientific publications, and conference presentations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional innovation teams to support product development.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Provide guidance and training to team members as needed.

Required profile

• PhD in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Biochemistry, Immunology or a related discipline.
• Experience designing and conducting laboratory and animal trials.
• Strong scientific writing and presentation abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• RT‑PCR technique.
