National Account Manager – FMCG (Retail)

About the role

Our client, a global FMCG organisation with a fast‑paced, results‑driven culture, is seeking an ambitious National Account Manager to lead a key retail customer account. You will work closely with a Customer Director and a tight‑knit commercial team to drive sustained growth and maintain top‑tier supplier status.

Key responsibilities

• Own the assigned retail customer account and partner with the Customer Director to achieve growth targets.
• Full P&L responsibility for the account, ensuring visibility and availability of all SKUs.
• Negotiate new product listings and execute product launches at the customer level.
• Coordinate merchandising, field sales communication, and price‑increase initiatives.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to resolve business challenges.
• Leverage category insights to drive customer growth and manage DSO/deductions.

Required profile

• 3+ years in a senior commercial sales role within the FMCG sector.
• Strong influencer and negotiator with excellent presentation abilities.
• Strategic thinker with a 1‑3 year outlook and ability to spot growth opportunities.
• Proven experience managing complex customer P&L and price‑increase projects.
• Highly collaborative, comfortable networking internally and externally.
